Pinglo for students

Lost something on campus?

AirPods in the library, keys in halls, a card at the SU bar. Post it on Pinglo and get a ping when someone finds it. It’s free.

How it works.

1Post it

Say what you lost and roughly where. Found something? Quick Found posts it in three taps.

2Get a ping

Pinglo looks for possible matches and tells you. You can also share your post as a link in your course or halls group chat.

3Prove it and collect

Answer a detail only the owner would know, then meet somewhere sensible, like the library desk or security.

Private by default.

  • Your details stay yoursYour post shows the item, never your name, number or address.
  • Rough location onlyOn the map a report shows roughly where it is, to within about a kilometre, never the exact spot.
  • Photos stay hiddenA finder’s photo never appears in the feed. The owner sees it only after proving the item is theirs, and it’s deleted once the item is returned.
  • Meet safelyHand over in a public place on campus. Never send bank details or ID to someone you haven’t met.

More detail in our safety guidance and privacy policy.

Your campus on Pinglo.

If you see a Pinglo poster on campus, scan it to join your university’s private feed, which only students and staff there can see. No poster yet? Tell your students’ union or library about us, or send them to pingloapp.com/universities.

Not on iPhone?

Pinglo works in any browser at pingloapp.com/app. Search the feed and pick up your chats with the same account. Posting is in the iPhone app for now.
