Approving Pinglo for your university
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Pinglo is a lost and found app for students and staff. Some universities ask IT to approve new apps before people can sign in with their university account. This page has what your IT team needs.
The app
| App name | Pinglo |
|---|---|
| Publisher | ASK FOR TASK LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 14697408) |
| Application (client) ID | ac6b8ce0-4b1f-4ac3-a9af-1179c836be64 |
| Redirect URI | msauth.com.pingloapp.pinglo://auth |
What it asks for
openid, email and profile, delegated, for sign-in only.
- It doesn’t read mail, files, calendars or contacts.
- It doesn’t need any admin-only permission.
What Pinglo keeps
- An account, as with any sign-in: signing in with Microsoft creates a Pinglo account with the person’s name and email address from Microsoft. Pinglo keeps the Microsoft account’s ID and your organisation’s tenant ID, so the same person always signs in to the same account.
- For the university community: only which community the person joined, when, and that they joined with Microsoft. The community’s admins see the person’s Pinglo name, never their email address.
- Not read: mail, files, calendars, contacts or anything else in Microsoft 365.
- Where: in London, UK.
- Deleting: anyone can delete their account in the app at any time, and it’s deleted straight away.
How to approve it
An administrator can grant consent for your organisation at:
https://login.microsoftonline.com/{your tenant}/adminconsent?client_id=ac6b8ce0-4b1f-4ac3-a9af-1179c836be64
